LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 1737, as introduced, Hayden. Postsecondary education: service
opportunities.
Existing law establishes a statewide system of public
postsecondary education consisting of the various campuses of the
University of California, the California State University, and the
California Community Colleges. Private postsecondary institutions
also provide educational services to California students.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to provide college and university students with increased
service opportunities that are integrated with their academic
coursework.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to provide college and university students with increased
service opportunities that are integrated with their academic
coursework.
